Rebekah Roy, 15, was shopping when she received a call from MTV telling her she was selected to participate in a reality show.

Cindy Roy had signed up her daughter, a budding singer and songwriter, to attend Camp Jam, a local day camp for young musicians and singers. The camp is not affiliated with MTV. Somehow, Rebekah's application landed with MTV producers and she was interviewed- along with 20 other candidates to appear on a reality show.
